Nauta newbuilds

The Nauta Shipyard in Poland has launched the partly outfitted hull of a new 78 metre LOA, 15 metre beam pelagic vessel to be completed in Denmark for Scottish owners.

The new Kings Cross was launched at the end of April and will be towed to Skagen in Denmark to be completed at the Karstensens yard for its Norwegian owners.

The yard has also signed contracts recently for the construction of two partially outfitted vessels for Swedish and Danish owners, one a 69.90 metre pelagic vessel for delivery to Skagen in March next year and a smaller 63 metre pelagic vessel to be delivered in July the same year.

The yard’s new building division has also started cutting steel for the construction of a new Wärtsilä-designed pelagic vessel for owners in Scotland. The Ocean Star is an 87 metre LOA 18 metre beam vessel designed to have a 7000kW main engine and will be completed and fitted out at the yard in Gdansk.
