New Cleopatra for western France

Icelandic boatbuilder Trefjar has delivered a new Cleopatra Fisherman to owners fishing from Noirmoutier in western France.

Skipper and owner Christophe Corbrejaud’s new 11gt Cleopatra 33, Loup des Mers, is built for longlining, as well as being fitted out for towing a small sandeel trawl to fish for live bait.

The 9.90 metre LOA, 3.60 metre beam Loup des Mers has an FPT C90 main engine in the aft engine room driving a ZF286IV reduction gear. The wheelhouse is fitted out with mainly Furuno and Simrad electronics.

The insulated fishroom is amidships and has capacity for twelve 380 litre tubs. Accommodation forward is for a crew of three, although Loup des Mers is expected to fish with a crew of two. The mess area is in the wheelhouse, while the galley with hob, microwave and refrigerator are below.

Loup des Mers is expected to operate from Noirmoutier all year round and has already started fishing.
